When I asked about Dreamcast games they said they had nothing interesting in their stockroom and weren't bothered about letting me know which games they had. A month later though and they'd all returned, plus they were BOGOFF at about £2.99 to £5. I snapped up a load, like Soul Calibur, MSR, Power-Stone, Phantasy Star Online V2. Same for Saturn - got Quake And Dukenukem £1.50 each. I went back in yesterday though and they've all gone again - A few years ago they took the retro off the shelves for the christmas season, so that might be it!Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13041267294873587968noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19634944.post-11223984912923924742007-09-06T01:15:00.000+00:002007-09-06T01:15:00.000+00:00Funnyman.... yeah yeah, you are funny ->Funnyman.... yeah yeah, you are funny ->Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19634944.post-84823489492578383852007-09-03T22:08:00.000+00:002007-09-03T22:08:00.000+00:00There's one local shop here that sells used DC gam...There's one local shop here that sells used DC games, but the prices are outrageous.Rosshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17761200717768270026noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19634944.post-396207719103626912007-09-03T00:58:00.000+00:002007-09-03T00:58:00.000+00:00The Dreamcast was fun for awhile, but it never had...The Dreamcast was fun for awhile, but it never had the staying power as the original PlayStation. The Sports Satiristhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15859285532328834135noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19634944.post-14481427428601586432007-08-31T17:58:00.000+00:002007-08-31T17:58:00.000+00:00"Great post mate - it's true that in recent months..."Great post mate - it's true that in recent months Gamestation has gotten rather dry when it comes to retro games"

Yeah, now it all depends on trade-ins, and since most good games have been snapped up by collectors, your only hope is to search the final frontier- Car Boot Sales.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19634944.post-62125570552743900102007-08-30T21:45:00.000+00:002007-08-30T21:45:00.000+00:00Dreamcast games are harder to find by the day here...Dreamcast games are harder to find by the day here too (Quebec). "regular" game stores (EB & others) aren't a good source anymore, so you have the choice between taking a chance in a pawn shop or pay a lot in a specialty store (25$ for a used copy of Gran Theft Auto 2, yeah right...)Simon Sayshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15033716097050918504noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19634944.post-85127062938095245562007-08-28T10:43:00.000+00:002007-08-28T10:43:00.000+00:00Yeah Nick Gamecrazy was a huge dissapointment.I ha...Yeah Nick Gamecrazy was a huge dissapointment.

I had just recently discovered the place when they decided to stop carrying retro stuff...

Anyways there are a couple of other indy game chains here in NY. One called game craze and the Microgames. They seem to carry some good retro stuff.Calebhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06238261299098657382noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19634944.post-4691189902795641692007-08-28T00:45:00.000+00:002007-08-28T00:45:00.000+00:00same thing happened at our Gamecrazy. For starters you don't have to pay postage cots =P

I can honestly say I haven't bought anything from Gamestation in a long time. The ones I visit in Southend, Balisdon and Candem rarely ever get any new retro stock. I recently opened Gamestation I saw in Canterbury when I was up there to see a mate had a huge retro section though, with almost 200 Dreamcast games! I ended up grabbing 6, including one particular gem I had been hunting for for ages: Rush 2049.Animated AFhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04550837973910959680noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19634944.post-56014415804239128842007-08-27T12:29:00.000+00:002007-08-27T12:29:00.000+00:00Yeah, it's tough.North American Gamers like myself...Yeah, it's tough.

North American Gamers like myself went through the same thing just a few years ago...

...You just have to take advantage of the final sales and look for other place to buy.

I found a pawn shop and a Thrift store on my ride home from work on Sat that seemed like good sources. Toy commander for $2.

It's hard going...but true gamers will go on regardless. I recently picked up Mortal Kombat Gold, Tokyo Highway, Aerowings, NBA 2K2, Sydney 2000, Combat Zone, and Air Force Delta from there. I know it's a loooong way from Manchester, but there is still hope!! I supose it's now down to the very rare independant shops now...Also, sorry I didn't manage to catch up with you - my internet capabilities are limited at best and so I rarely check my emails. Hopefully I'll be able to post about my DC searching exploits in the next week tho...Tom Charnockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05593308178739317252noreply@blogger.com
