Marvel Vs Capcom 2 being re-released

Now that I have a copy of the Dreamcast version plus a pair of arcade controllers I really don't know what to think about this.

I am almost a little sad that one of the greatest Dreamcast games will be available to the general gaming public. It was one of those games that you really had to play on the Dreamcast to get the full experience (of course you could always try out the expensive xbox or PS2 version but I always thought the Dreamcast version was the best).

In any case I hope that this means that people will pay their respect to the Dreamcast for originally bringing this game to the console world.

Virtual On 2 has popped up on XBLA recently too. Companies are scrambling to port Dreamcast games to the online services because people love them so much and simply want to play them with the new bells and whistles of online play and HD output. It just sums up how good the Dreamcast's games when people get so excited by re-releases from it.

Apparently the MvsC2 port is based on the Dreamcast version.

DREAMCAST is the Best! How many times are current system gamers going dip back into the Dreamcast's library? Can't they think of anything new these days! Plus MVC2 was built for arcade hardware not RROD hardware... This port will BLOW period!

On the plus side, maybe (just maybe) this will lower the price of MvC2 on ebay. I still need to get my hands on it.

Yeah - I heard about this. I really hope they make it a direct port, so all those cocks who snubbed the Dreamcast back in the day can sing along to the ace background music. Altogether now..."I'm gonna take you for a ride...!"

"I'm gonna take you for a ride" played right after the Daytona USA theme on a mix-cd I made back in the day. Ah... memories...
