Appearing on Kickstarter recently out of nowhere, Mortadelo y Filemón is the Dreamcast game coming in 2021 that you never knew you wanted until now! The game is a point and click adventure which is based on a popular Spanish comic series.
From the project overview:
"Mortadelo y Filemón: El Sulfato Atómico is a point and click style adventure game, available in Steam, which has players trying to steal back a spray that turns insects into giants.
In this game our characters must rescue the atomic sulphate created by professor Bacterio of the claws of Bruteztrausen, general of an enemy state. This sulphate is a spray that increases the size of the insects, making them reach measures of meters! They will have to enter the State slyly to arrive at the governmental palace and take the sulphate.
We LOVE Sega Dreamcast, so we want to publish an exclusive limited edition for this console of the game through Kickstarter."
There is unfortunately no mention of an English translation, so that could be a problem for a lot of potential backers, but the game art-style itself looks really great and presumably mimics the cartoon of the time. The game already exists on Steam, but it's always great to hear of games being ported to our beloved Dreamcast!
Spanish developer Erbe Software previously had a Kickstarter in 2020 for another Dreamcast title, Dráscula: The Vampire Strikes Back, which was due for release also in 2021.
The campaign has already reached its target goal, but if you're interested in becoming a backer, you can visit their Kickstarter here.

Huh. Interesting. Not my cup of tea (in English or otherwise), but it's nice to see they came through on their previous Kickstarter.
Seems this is the spanish variant of "Clever and Smart"...
Hi, actually the strips are Spanish, Clever and Smart was the name in the UK. The comics are super fun, specially the ones from the 70s to the mid 90s. That been said, I am skeptical of the quality of these kind of releases.
