Nice Dreamcast Vid...

Says it all really... I like this dude (remember when he was bigging up MDK2?) Imagine you'd never heard of the Dreamcast. If I had this guy as my guide, I'd buy one. Then I'd get down on one knee and pledge my allegiance to him. I'd cater to his every whim and lay down my life for him.

Alright, maybe not his every whim, but most of them. All those except for the sexual ones.
OK, if I'm completely honest, maybe the odd one or two, but I'd definitely buy a Dreamcast.
But I would grow a moustache for him. (If he asked...) LOL! Enjoy...

LMAO, Father xD

But I know what you mean, the way that guy talks is almost hypnotic and he did very well pointing out what made the Dreamcast a console well ahead of its time.

a few mistakes...

VMU = VISUAL memory unit, not "virtual".

the web browser is not a variation of the Netscape browser, it is made by Planet Web, and is more of a successor to the one they had on Saturn.

And speaking of that, he made it sound as though the DC was the first console system to be able to browse the web. The Saturn was first with the NetLink modem add-on.

calmcoolcollective - fair points made, but the DC was the first console to come with net connectivity 'out of the box.' The net link for the Saturn was a stand-alone peripheral that was sold separately. I think that's what the guy in the vid was emphasizing.

The Saturn wasn't even the first console with a online add-on. In Japan there was one for the Mega Drive too.

Don't be too harsh on him, I think he was just trying to give us the overall idea of the Dreamcast's features, not exactly dissect each one with accurate details.

Not trying to be harsh, just pointing out a fact that honestly not a lot of people know of anyway. The guy's summary is awesome none the less. he did some videos on the odd Dreamcast game or two as well, which were equally good.

Props to this dude for championing one of the most underatted game consoles ever :)
