Power Stone Clone Lastfight Announced For XB1 & PS4

Back in May, we reviewed the excellent Power Stone clone Lastfight, and awarded it a very respectful 7.5/10. We praised its gameplay, style and ability to invoke fond memories of Power Stone, but criticised its lack of content. Check it out here.

At the time of review, the game was a Steam exclusive, but there's good news for all you console peasants out there: the game is making its way over to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 later this month.

I thoroughly enjoyed 2 on 2 matches, but I can't wait to give the free for all mode a blast.
Not only that, the developers have been hard at work addressing some of the the critics' biggest criticisms; they've added a tonne of new content and a Free for All game type that will also be added to the Steam version as part of a free update on the same day as the console release, 20th September. Here's what they had to say in their latest press release.

"We are super happy to announce the release date of the console version of LASTFIGHT

This update features the following new modes:

  • Free for All – A hectic One-Versus-All mode where the last to survive will be declared the victor.
  • Ranked (Offline) – In this mode players battle offline opponents to earn points and fight their way up the ladder.
  • Endless – In this ultimate skill test players try to beat as many opponents as possible with only 1 health bar.
  • Pinball – Attacks won’t do damage. In Pinball the only way to defeat enemies is by launching pinballs at them.
Stay Tuned !"

It felt as though the Steam release was lost amongst the thousands of other games on the platform, so hopefully it'll now finally get the attention it deserves. Be sure to check out the new trailer below (the Pinball mode looks especially interesting!).
