Pictures Speak A Thousand Words

Yes, we've already posted this on Facebook and Twitter but it seems a shame not to post it here too. Created with VMU tool, some people have misconstrued this to mean that we think the recently-announced Shenmue 3 should come to Dreamcast. Not so - what this means is that if the Dreamcast had been the success it so rightly deserved to be, Yu Suzuki would probably have finished the Shenmue trilogy on the Dreamcast as originally intended. Feel free to share, re-blog, whatever. It's a great image, even if we say so ourselves.

You should probably stop writing, "Shenmue trilogy." Shenmue is a story in eleven parts, and it is meant to be a pentalogy. Read the Yu Suzuki "Ask Me Anything" to see for yourself.

The idea of a Shenmue 3 on the Dreamcast (as suggested by you on the Shenmue 3 Podcast) is a lovely idea. But Yu Suzuki would have completed the trilogy on Xbox if there had been a sudden flurry of sales of number 2 on that particular console. So its not feasible to have it on anything other than PS4 or Xbox One... It has got to take advantage of all the current gen can offer whilst keeping the charm and feel of the original, (a pretty tall order!) If Yu could move on so quickly after the death of the DC, so can we move on 15 years later!😆

ehhh or we could choose not to move on and just port it to the dc after it come out. I know I know probably will/would never happen, but hey people are still making mods for DC halflife. :)
